Title: Perfectly Imperfect
Author: Harper Sloan
Release Date: November 17th, 2015

Synopsis
Mirror, mirror ... who's the fairest of them all?
I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn't grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all 'mean girls.'
And those mean girls were right - it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world - and I knew the answer would never be me.
The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.
The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.
Well, that's definitely not Willow Tate.
No. That will never be me.
Because I'm completely imperfect.
And ... I hate myself.
I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

About the Author:
harper sloan bio.jpg
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero--the super alpha kind!

Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.

My Review:
I love Harper Sloan and her Corps Security series. Those alpha males are just drool worthy. So of course I didn't hesitate when I got the option to review Perfectly Imperfect. Yes, the idea of the book is a little bit different than her other books but it still looked intriguing to me. Well, let me tell you. This story is simply out of this world. It is so heartbreaking and at the same time romantic and filled with hope that there is just no way not to relate to the characters.

Willow is an incredible character. Even though she doesn't look strong in the beginning, in my opinion it takes an incredibly strong person to survive the nightmare she lived daily. I simply cannot imagine surviving for years under such abuse. But when she finally managed to break free, she was still carrying the scars with her. She is still constantly struggling to recognize her value and see herself as the incredible woman she is. Or at least that is until she meets her knight in shining armor who doesn't save her but only shows her the way. And he is beside her when she needs the support. And what a knight that is. Kane is simply every woman's wet dream ;)

I think I have to mention that this story touched something inside of me. For me this book was really emotional and not only because Willow and Kane have and incredible story, but simply because I was able to recognize myself in some of Willow's struggles.  I am pretty sure that every reader will at least partially relate to Willow. In a way, she lives in all of us.

So in a few words, if you are looking for a light and fun read, this one is not the one. But apart from that, this is an incredible story that is simply a must read. With her incredible gift, Harper Sloan manages to create story about strength and fighting your inner demons. A story of hope and love to which the reader can relate. It is incredibly emotional, so be prepared with some tissues. But as for me, that's one of the best books I've ever read. It gave me hope and strength to fight some of my personal demons.
