Series: Taking Shots #4
Author: Cindi Madsen
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 8th, 2017

Synopsis:
Confession #1: I used to be a puck bunny, but after a hockey player broke my heart, I gave up all things hockey. Now I'm just focused on finding a way to pass my math class so I can graduate college.

Confession #2: Ryder "Ox" Maddox's deep, sexy voice sends fuzzy tingles through my entire body, and I'm powerless to stop it. Which is a big problem since the hot, surprisingly funny hockey player is my new math tutor.

Confession #3: I can't stop thinking about how ripped Ryder is from all his hockey training, and how fun it'd be to cross lines with him.

Confession #4: I kissed a hockey player and I liked it.

Confession #5: If I'm not careful, I might relapse and fall for Ryder, and then I'll be totally pucked.

About the Author:

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a pretty new pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music and dancing and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.

My Review:
This is my first Cindi Madsen book and I can honestly say that I enjoyed it a lot. It is mainly lighthearted and fun with just a pinch of heartbreak, to make it even better. Even though, this is the fourth book in the series, I can guarantee that it can be read as a complete standalone. Yes, there are some references to characters from the previous books but nothing that will cause you problems enjoying the story.

Ryder and Lindsay are two very interesting characters. Lindsay is definitely fun to be around and there are times when she is simply hilarious. But she's been hurt before, so for her hockey players are a big No-No. And when you add to that the issues from her childhood, charming her into a relationship is close to impossible.

But Ryder is not the type to be discouraged by some difficulties on his way. He is smart, determined and hardworking but he is also charming and with that sinful smile of his, he can melt your panties. Even though, he is few years younger than Lindsay, he is very mature and is Lindsay's perfect other half. Their relationship is not easy and it has it's own problems and at some point things do get out of hand, but in the end Ryder and Lindsay find their HEA.

This is definitely a recommended read . Especially if you are looking for something light to read. The story is a complete standalone so you don't have to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. But you might want to once you are done with this one :) I know I will be checking them out the first chance I got :D
